The Illusionist is one of a dying breed of stage entertainers. However, whilst performing in Scotland, he encounters Alice, a young girl who believes his tricks are real magic. Desperate not to disappoint her, he cannot reveal to her that magic doesn’t exist. But as Alice comes of age, she finds love and moves on and this frees the Illusionist from his own web of deceit.
