老影迷難忘《蛇形刁手》、《醉拳》，新觀眾熟悉《駭客任務》、《臥虎藏龍》，但別忽略了袁和平在八○年代初期嘔心瀝血、另闢蹊徑之作《奇門遁甲》。片中大量取材民俗文化，把武術與幻術結合得目不暇給，氣氛既詭譎又幽默。除了梁家仁擔綱演出，「袁家班」全員大集合，更把「武丑」魅力推至顛峰，尤其袁祥仁反串的鬼馬老太婆，超級搶戲。

A couple of Taoist monks provide mirth and expert kungfu tuition to a disciple who is mistakenly assumed to be the crown prince of the imperial court, missing since childhood. The emperor thus dispatches a eunuch with the powers of a Taoist monk to apprehend the young man.
