十四歲少女從寄宿學校返回家鄉小鎮，父親已從家中出走，留下焦慮母親跟風趣祖父和她作伴。在教堂裡她結識了唱詩班男孩，林間的散步、笨拙且突如其來的初吻，短暫解救她逃離這一場家庭風暴。虔誠信仰與性意識的萌芽，乃至於青春期的茫然不安，導演一鳴驚人的處女作中細膩捕捉一名少女如何敲開通往情慾的大門，逐步甩脫純真。

Anna, a young teenager, comes home from her Catholic boarding school and discovers her father has left. Her mother is devastated and confined in the company of the local priest. She grows close to Pierre, a free-spirited teenager who cares little about God. She longs to give herself over, but doesn’t know if it is to God, or something else?
