Naoko returns to her home village with her daughter after divorce. Her mother runs the only hair salon in the village, where women gather together every day to talk about the sorrow of being in love or to confess little lies they cannot reveal to anyone else. Even when betrayed by men, they cry, laugh, and carry on positively and strongly.
