After the death of her husband, Dawn is left alone to care for her four children. Her only daughter, 8-year-old Simon, shares a secret with her mother: her father whispers to her through the leaves of the tree next to their home. But their relationship is threatened when Dawn gets intimate with George while the house is being destroyed by the filtrating roots of the tree…
